His story

Nuh was sent to a people who worshipped idols, among them Wadd, Suwa', Yaghuth, Ya'uq and Nasr (71:23). He called them to worship Allah alone and warned them of the punishment of a great day (7:59). He asked no wage of them (26:109), and he stayed among them a thousand years less fifty (29:14).

Their leaders mocked the believers as the lowliest of people (11:27), and Nuh refused to drive them away (26:114). When Allah revealed that no more of his people would believe (11:36), Nuh built the ship. Allah saved him and those with him, and drowned the rest (26:119-120). Nuh's own son refused to board and was among the drowned, and Allah told Nuh that the son was not of his family, because his deeds were not righteous (11:46).

The reports about the ship's size, its materials and the creatures aboard come from Israelite narrations, which islamweb notes Ibn Kathir found strange.

[4] (V.33:7) There are many Prophets and Messengers of Allâh. About twenty-five of them are mentioned in the Qur’an; out of these twenty-five, only five are of strong will: namely (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم, Nûh (Noah), Ibrâhîm (Abraham), Mûsâ (Moses) and ‘Îsâ (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary) عليهم السلام).
