Our method

How entries are prepared, checked and labelled.
  • No Arabic religious text is typed by hand. Verses are referenced by number from the Tanzil text; the Names and duas are copied out of the narrations themselves.

  • Every citation is checked automatically: a phrase from each claim must appear in the cited verse or narration, or the entry cannot be published.

  • Each entry's badge comes from its strongest evidence. A narration's badge follows the compiler for al-Bukhari and Muslim, then al-Albani; every grader's verdict is shown.

  • The Names follow the list in Jami' at-Tirmidhi 3507, as chosen for this site. That list is graded weak by several hadith scholars, so each Name shows its own evidence.

  • Nothing here is final until qualified scholars have reviewed it. Entries waiting for review say so.

How every entry is sourced

Each statement is labelled with the strength of its evidence, so you always know whether it comes from the Quran, an authentic hadith, the view of scholars, or only popular tradition.
