His story

The Quran mentions Idris twice. It calls him a man of truth and a prophet, whom Allah raised to a high place (19:56-57), and counts him among the patient (21:85).

Most detailed accounts of his life, such as his lineage, scrolls and crafts, come from Israelite reports. islamweb says these cannot be confirmed or denied, so they are not used as proof. The narration it examines about him was judged weak.
