What it holds

The Quran was sent down on Laylat al-Qadr, a night better than a thousand months (97:1–3). 'A'isha reports in al-Bukhari that the Prophet ﷺ told them to seek it in the odd nights of the last ten of Ramadan, and that he spent the last ten in i'tikaf in the mosque until Allah took him.

islamweb's fatwa explains that the Prophet ﷺ was shown the night and then made to forget it, for a wisdom: that people strive in worship through all ten nights rather than one.
