About this place

Allah called Musa from the right side of the mountain and drew him near in private talk (19:52); the Quran swears by Tur Sinin (95:2).

islamweb's fatwa places it in Sinai, in Egypt. In a lesson on islamweb, Shaykh Muhammad Isma'il al-Muqaddam notes that books of tafsir place it in Madyan and leans to that view, saying he found no decisive text. The map shows Sinai.
