Evening remembrance of Ibn Mas'ud's narration
Amsaynā wa amsā al-mulku lillāh, wal-ḥamdu lillāh, lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahu al-mulku wa lahu al-ḥamdu wa huwa 'alā kulli shay'in qadīr. Allāhumma as'aluka khayra hādhihi al-laylah, wa a'ūdhu bika min sharri hādhihi al-laylah wa sharri mā ba'dahā. Allāhumma innī a'ūdhu bika min al-kasali wa sū'i al-kibar. Allāhumma innī a'ūdhu bika min 'adhābin fin-nāri wa 'adhābin fil-qabr.
We have reached the evening and the dominion belongs to Allah, and praise is for Allah. There is no god but Allah alone, without partner; His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He has power over all things. O Allah, I ask You for the good of this night, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of this night and the evil of what comes after it. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from laziness and the evils of old age. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from a punishment in the Fire and a punishment in the grave.
Note: In the morning the same words are said with "asbaḥnā" (we have reached the morning) and "this day".
